Dr Junying Jeanie Kirk (PhD, MLitt, MBA, MA, BA, MITI, NRPSI) has worked professionally as an interpreter and translator since 2002, although she has had many more years of interpreting experiences prior to becoming a fully-fledged free-lance specialist between Mandarin Chinese and English and vice versa. She has worked extensively for public and private clients, mainly in the field of legal proceedings as well as in business negotiations.

Junying is a full member of the Institute of Translators and Interpreters (MITI), and is on the National Register for Public Service Interpreters. Junying also has many years of teaching experience, teaching English as a foreign language as well as teaching Chinese at different levels, in both China and in the UK.

Junying established Dr Zen’s Mandarin Services in 2002 to provide high-quality, effective and comprehensive interpreting and translation services. Junying subsequently renamed it as Chinese Interpreting & Translation and set up this website to promote her language services.

Apart from being an interpreter and translator, Junying is an author with two full length novels, The Same Moon and Trials of Life, the first two books of her Journey to the West trilogy. She is writing her third novel which will be published in 2012. She also publishes short stories, travel logs and blogs, which can be found on http://www.junyingkirk.com.
